Turkey' stainless steel coil imports down from Jan to Aug

It was reported that the Turkish stainless steel coil imports kept decreasing from January to August, and also with the consumption demand reduced from the domestic market, the total import quantity of stainless steel coil was around 318,000 tons down from 410,000 tons by year on year. 

The stainless steel strip demand was mainly made by Posco Assan TST, the only cold-rolled stainless steel mill in Turkey, which focused on produced stainless steel cold rolled and with the annual capacity by around 200,000 tons. 

According to statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January to August this year, Turkey imported around 128,000 tons of hot rolled and cold rolled stainless steel coil from South Korea; followed by China with around 41,000 tons; followed by Taiwan with around 25,000 tons.
