Weak demand interrupts EU’s mills to increase price in Oct
Because of the low demand, most of the European mills were unable to increase the alloy surcharge but only remained the same price at the stainless steel sheet base last week.
However, some of the steel mills still decided to increase the stainless steel sheet price due to the increasing cost in August and September.
The local distributors said that they expected the stainless steel sales volume would go up this summer originally, but in reality, the sales had been influenced by the popular safeguarding policy in the EU, the US, and China.
Moreover, as the stock quantity from the mills was still plenty, some of the plants decided to rise the price together, but no one knows what’s the price would be in the future
