Chinese crude stainless steel production rises in H1 2019 y-o-y

According to the statistics from Stainless Steel Council of China Special Steel Enterprises Association (CSSC), the production of crude stainless steel in China totaled around 14.35 million tons in the first half of this year, rising by around 8.5% or 1.13 million tons in the same period a year ago. 

Among them, the production of Cr-Ni stainless steel (so-called 300 series) accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 7.07 million tons, a year-on-year growth of 19% or around 1.13 million tons. The proportion also had a year-on-year increase of 4.34% to 49.22%.
