China imposes AD duties on certain stainless steel products from 4 countries
The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) decided to impose anti-dumping (AD) duties on stainless steel billet and hot-rolled stainless steel plate imports from Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and the European Union (EU) for five years.
China has imposed preliminary anti-dumping measures on March 22nd, with tariffs range between 18.1% and 103.1%. The MOFCOM said the domestic industries were seriously damaged according to the investigation. The duties were effective on July 23rd.
Based on the judgment, the affected parts included the EU companies for 43.0%, Japanese Nippon Yakin Kogyo Co., Ltd. for 18.1%, and other Japanese companies for 29.0%. South Korean POSCO was assigned a rate at 23.1% and other South Korean companies received 103.1%. Indonesian exporters were subject to a 20.2% duty.
